Boat Seat Seams Splitting
I have quite a bit of cushioned seating on the boat. In many areas, the seams on these cushions began coming apart. It appears the thread was rotting and losing their strength:
So I purchased some nylon thread and my wife sewed them up:
I did not worry abou the cosmetic aspect of the repair; durability was my only concern.
However, the nylon is coming apart now. Perhaps it is because I used a bleach mixture to get rid of mildew a few weeks back:
I am searching for a better solution. Maybe there is some soft of flexible clear or color-matching paste I can find to close these seams for good.
I need a better solution than sewing, that is for sure.
