Re: Problem With Connecting To
Another Switch
Dear Tech Support: I recently
purchased your EZ800-S switch. It seems to work well when only workstations
are connected to it - the workstations can "talk" to one another
through this switch.
However, when I connect a
straight-through cable from an available port on the switch, and I connect the
cable to a DLINK router/switch, I am unable to get out through the router. In
fact, I am unable to even ping the router.
If I place a Linksys hub in
place of your EZ800-S switch, I AM able to get out throught the DLINK
router/switch, and my network functions normally. The DLINK router/switch is
model DI-614+. This router/switch ALSO has the auto sensing cable type function
on it. Perhaps the EX800-S's auto sensing and the DI-614+'s auto sensing TOGETHER are causing problems.
Please advise what I can do to
resolve this condition. I will be forced to return this switch, and post
negative reviews of it if I do not receive an informative response from you
within 48 hours.
Thank you,
