Added Features (non-factory)
Radar detector: Uniden model RD 6299SWS (1998) ( owner's manual )
GPS: Garmin StreetPilot C330 (12/2007) (
manuf )
( This along with the radar detector tie in to the power feed
going to the Gentex auto-dim rearview mirror for ignition-on power-up. )
Radar Detector & GPS (I added) near Gentex auto-dimming mirror
(factory).
Power Inverter - 400 watt Black & Decker - Model
Vector Manufacturing VEC1046BD (2007) ( manuf
- Amazon
)
( Runs a myriad of electronic devices such as cell phone
chargers, kid's video games, camcorder charger, laptop, etc.
Eliminates the
need for a bag full of expensive "car adapters".). 120v
power has also been run to trunk so that electronic devices stored in the
trunk can be kept at "full charge" on trips.
40 amp circuit (10 gauge copper stranded) from battery to underneath driver's seat to
power the inverter and other small portable electronic devices.
Inverter underneath passenger front seat supplied with
40A 10 gauge wire from battery (I added).
Steering wheel cover (black).
Window Tint: Solargard High
Performance Quantum ( manuf
- installer )
Front side windows: QTM28 5237767066
Rear side windows and vents: QTM19 5235630069
Rear window: QTM19 5226759053
However, a problem has arose as a result of this tint being installed on the
rear window over the rear defroster:
Rear tint causes an unacceptable chaotic visual
effect at night when car(s) are behind me. Forum
discussion here.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHAT TINT YOU PLACE ON THE BACK WINDOW IF 1) YOU HAVE AN
AERO TYPE CAR, AND 2) IF YOU HAVE A REAR DEFROSTER AND/OR A REAR WINDOW
ANTENNA. The Quantum HP tint that was placed on my rear window is highly
reflective, resulting in a very chaotic and uncomfortable visual anomaly at
night.
Stereo Box In Trunk (factory) on right side.
