Hello, and welcome to my Crown Vic website!
This car is the nicest car I have ever
owned. The 90 Buick
Century I use to own comes close, but this CV has tons of goodies in
addition to the very comfortable interior.
Note: Almost every
image is clickable for enlargement.
My 97 Crown Victoria LX purchased 4/14/08 at 59,600mi
(Picture taken 6/20/08 after windows were tinted)
Future improvements (In order of personal priority)
Troubleshoot transmission
2-4 cold shift anomaly.
The first
time it shifts from 2-4 (skipping 3) after sitting for at least 4
hours there is a 1 second "neutral" anomaly. But if the car is
first warmed up for a couple minutes, it shifts 2-3-4 normally.
It appears to be temperature related. However, if I do not
allow time for warm-up and I accelerate very slowly the anomaly is
not present either. Forum
discussion here.
If you think my garage is a mess, you should have seen it before I bought the
car.
The CV is about 2 feet longer than the Olds
Ciera Wagon. So I had to make room in the garage. Here's
a picture of the garage as I was tearing part of it out to make room for
the new addition Friday night after I bought it.
There's your
"garage cleaning motivation"!
